Sue
Davis, Psychologist
I am very happy to be returning as a member of the Support Staff at Hidden Hills. I have worked in the District as a school psychologist for over 25 years, at all grade levels. My assignment this year also includes Neil Armstrong School and working with the District’s Rainbow Project.
I received a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara and an MS in Counseling with a credential for School Psychology from CSU Hayward. Three years ago I completed a year-long post-graduate program in School Neuropsychology and received (and continue to maintain) certification from the American Board of School Neuropsychology.
Here at Hidden Hills, I will work with other members of the Special Ed Team to assess students for learning problems and help develop appropriate educational programs. I also provide counseling services to Special Ed students and am available for consultation to staff and parents.
I was born and grew up in the Bay Area - third generation Californian!! I currently live in Livermore with my husband of 38 years and have two daughters attending college. I love my job, and in my spare time I also enjoy reading, gardening, hiking, and traveling.

I am thrilled to
be a part of the Hidden Hills Community. I have taught in the San Ramon
Valley Unified School District for seven years in both regular education
and special education. I worked in Salinas City School District prior
to coming to San Ramon.
I have an M.A. in special education and five teaching credentials. Working
with children has been a life long passion. I have devoted much of my
time as a volunteer working with disadvantaged children and children
with special needs. I love to travel the world and spend time with my
family!

Mahoney, Science Specialist
I teach Science
because I love science and I love teaching. I am happy to be at Hidden
Hills where there is a lot of excitement about science among the students,
families and the staff.
When my family moved to Danville in 2000, I returned to teaching after
working as a research scientist and teaching High School in the Palo
Alto area. Teaching science to grade levels 1-5 is a challenge, as well
as seeing so many HH students in the Science Lab each week! I am hoping
that each of the students will gain an appreciation of the world around
them and a fascination for learning more and more about how it works.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening (bonsai), reading, hiking, dog showing,
music, sports (playing and watching!). However, most of these activities
go on hold until summer break!

I am excited to
be part of the Hidden Hills community because Hidden Hills' parents
recognize that science has a critical role in their child's education.
I share my love of science with the students by showing them how we
are surrounded by science, what we learn in class has relevant real-life
applications and how fun science can be at the same time.
After moving to the States from Hong Kong, I studied zoology and nuclear
medicine. I worked in both government and private sectors until my husband
and I settled down in the valley to raise our two daughters. They are
currently in Boston completing their master degrees.
In my free time, I enjoy tinkering with computers, cooking for my family
and friends, experimenting with different cuisines, traveling, visiting
museums and reading.

Raaum, Vocal Music
Classroom Music Teacher 2nd-5th, 3-5 HH Chorus, and 2nd Grade Training Chorus Director
I have been teaching classroom music and directing choirs in San Ramon School District since 1996. I left Stone Valley Middle School to be Hidden Hills' very first classroom music teacher! When I'm not at Hidden Hills, I'm teaching music at Alamo Elementary, where I first started teaching in this district. After school, I teach private piano lessons to children and adults.
I was raised in New Jersey, and over the years have had many moves to other parts of the US, plus10 years overseas. Everywhere we lived, music has always been an integral part of my life, whether performing, singing, accompanying in church choirs, directing choirs, teaching, or watching my own children perform. My husband and I have 3 grown children who also love to sing, dance and play the guitar.
When I'm not busy being musical, I love to be busy in the garden with my duck, cuddled up with my cat reading a book, or hiking the foothills of Mt. Diablo with my dog.

I’m thrilled and proud to be here at Hidden Hills as the computer teacher. I’m looking forward to sharing my computer knowledge with the students and having them share their knowledge. This is my second year of teaching and my first year at Hidden Hills.
After spending many years in the software industry, I made a career change and received a teaching credential from CSU-East Bay in 2007. The rewards from teaching have been many and has brought me great joy. Seeing students grow throughout the year and their “ah-ha” moments always warm my heart.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. We camp, bike ride, swim, play soccer, and play with computers (of course).

I feel extremely fortunate to be able to join the Hidden Hidden Hills team! I have taught in all areas of Special Education for the last 20 years in both California and Washington state. I hold a MA in Curriculum & Instruction and four teaching credentials.
I am passionate about helping students become confident and successful learners. Being creative, fun and positive in a supportive environment is my approach to motivating students. I believe teaching specific skills and strategies within the context of good literature allows students to become more effective readers and writers.
I really enjoy reading, gardening, hiking, walking along the beach, painting, traveling and simply spending time with family and friends.
