ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Hanna Ma, Principal

Hidden Hills is such an amazing school! I am so thankful to work with such wonderful and talented staff, students, and parents. As stated in our vision statement, Hidden Hills is truly the best elementery school for our students!

Here's a little information about me: This is my fourth year at HH, and sixth year overall as a principal or assistant principal. Before that, I taught all grades K-6 for ten years combined in SoCal and NorCal.I have a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. Then, I found my calling as an educator and never looked back! My teaching credential is from CalPoly and MA in Educational Leadership and administrative credential are from UC Berkeley.

In my family are my husband and two little boys. They always keep me on my toes! In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, going to the theater, watching movies, singing, playing tennis, and swimming.

Ken Nelson, Assistant Principal

I am so excited to be joining the incredible Hidden Hills community! I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a wonderful staff, amazing students, and supportive parents. I believe that all students should receive an amazing education and should be provided every opportunity to have a positive and successful experience, while creating life long memories. This will mark my 14th year in education. I have spent the past 4 years at California High School working as an Assistant Principal and prior to that, I taught in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.

I am a native to the Bay Area, growing up in Walnut Creek. I attended San Ramon Valley High School and then went on to CSU, Chico. After receiving my BA in Social Science, I then attended CSU, Sacramento for my teaching credential. Most recently, I attended CSU, East Bay to obtain my administrative credential and Masters in Educational Leadership.

My wife, Tamee and I have 6 year old identical twin boys, Jake and Luke, which will be starting kindergarten this year! As you can imagine, twins can keep you busy! I love spending my free time with my family. We are involved in with soccer and swim team, but try to get away once in awhile to go camping.

I look forward to meeting all of you!
